Ingredients

  • 7 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2/3 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • packets Baking Powder
  • 3.5 oz Milk Chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Hazelnut Spread
  • 16 Vanilla Cream-Filled Cookies
  • 8 Colorful Sugar Candies
  • 16 Colorful Chocolate Candies

Preparation

  • To make the Halloween muffins with little owls, beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a creamy mixture. Add the butter melted in a bain-marie and the unsweetened cocoa, mixing the ingredients well.

  • Add the flour, vanilla extract, and baking powder, mixing until smooth and creamy. Take a muffin pan with baking cups and fill them up to the edge.

  • Bake in the oven at 356°F for 15 minutes, or do the toothpick test. Once cooked, leave them in the turned-off oven for 5 minutes with the door open. Then, remove them from the oven and let them cool.

  • Melt the hazelnut spread and milk chocolate in a bain-marie, blend them and mix well. Using a spoon, pour the glaze over the muffins.

  • Proceed with the decoration. Take the cookies and separate them in half; on the halves with cream, place the colorful chocolate candies of the same color as they represent the eyes. Make a slight pressure on the candies so that they stick to the cream. Place these cookies on the muffins, side by side.

  • Put a colorful candy in the center of the eyes. The other halves of the cookies, those without cream, need to be split in half and placed on the front of the muffins, behind the eyes.

  • Let rest for an hour to allow the glaze to set. Store them in a box or cake holder; they will remain good and soft even after a few days. Enjoy!
