Roasted Peppers

Peppers can be roasted in many ways, I grill them and find it very simple.

Perfect as a side dish to accompany a meat main course or a barbecue, I season roasted peppers as my grandmother did: with olive oil, salt, garlic, and chopped celery.

A really tasty dish to serve, especially in summer.

Roasted Peppers
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Grill, Charcoal

Ingredients

  • 2 peppers
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 clove garlic
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Steps

  • To make roasted peppers, wash the peppers and place them on the already hot grill. You can use either an electric grill or cook them over charcoal.

  • Occasionally turn the peppers to cook them on all sides until the skin has a brown color.

  • The cooking time is about 15 minutes. Once cooked, place the peppers in a bowl and let them cool down.

  • Then take one pepper at a time and remove all the skin, which will come off very easily. With the help of a knife, remove the stem and cut the pepper along one side to open it.

  • Remove the white filaments and all the seeds inside the pepper, using your fingers, or quickly rinse the pepper under cold water to facilitate the operation.

  • Slice the peppers into strips and place them in a bowl. Season with salt, oil, minced garlic, and minced celery. Serve even cold, and enjoy your meal!
