Ingredients
- 12 slices sandwich bread (square)
- 2 cans of tuna in oil (80 g each)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon salted capers
Preparation of Star-Shaped Appetizers
Place the slices of sandwich bread on a work surface and roll their surface with a rolling pin without flattening them too much (just roll them once) to make the bread softer and more elastic.
You will need 3 star-shaped cookie cutters: one large, one slightly smaller, and a tiny star.Cut out six large stars (each from one slice of bread) and a medium star and a small star from each of the six remaining slices of bread.
Put the drained tuna from the preservation oil in a blender, add the capers after desalting them by running them under cold running water, and a tablespoon of mayonnaise and blend briefly until you get a homogeneous cream.Put a generous teaspoon of the prepared cream on the larger bread star and spread it with the back of the teaspoon, cover with the medium star, arranging it so that the points of the two stars do not match, and then spread another teaspoon of cream on the surface of the second star.
Place the tiny star upright in the center of the second star, pressing it gently onto the cream (support it if necessary with a little cream on the side that seems to fall).
Prepare all your star-shaped appetizers this way.
You can store them, covered with a little plastic wrap, in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
