Today I propose an Anglo-Saxon recipe, the salad with cabbage and carrots COLESLAW and I will tell you how I found and tasted this fresh and crunchy salade as they say in French!
Sometimes with Andrea, instead of cooking, we order some dishes using the Just Eat platform which is very convenient because with one click we can enjoy many different specialties, even foreign ones!
The other night we turned to a restaurant we already tried and that offers many tasty recipes, and surprisingly (it’s the first time this happened) while I had asked for a potato salad, they brought me this salad that I propose today because I fell in love with it!
The salad with cabbage and julienned carrots is very appetizing, easy, and very delicious, and it is even more special if dressed with a yogurt-based sauce that I bought ready-made at Esselunga and which I corrected by adding some spices.

CABBAGE AND CARROT SALAD

Ingredients
- 14 oz cabbage
- 1 cup carrots (julienned)
- 2/3 cup yogurt dressing (ready sauce)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 green onion
- to taste chives
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Preparation of the Cabbage and Carrot COLESLAW Recipe
For the recipe of this crunchy and appetizing salad with julienned carrots I put the already julienned carrots into a bowl.
With the mandolin or a knife, I slice the cabbage, removing the outer leaves and the hard, inedible core.
I peel and slice the shallot, in my case a Romagna one.
For the dressing, I mix the yogurt dressing in a bowl, adding the mustard and mayonnaise.
I season with salt and pepper and add the chives in small rings.
With this dressing, I dress the cabbage and carrot salad called Coleslaw and serve it immediately at the table.
