The pear and walnut plumcake is a delicious tasting cake.
Last night I made a plumcake for this morning’s breakfast 🙂 I had bought some very ripe pears and used them right away to make this cake. I didn’t specify the type of pears because you can use whichever you prefer. I used Kaiser pears. I also had some walnuts and added those too. The pear and walnut plumcake is ideal not only for breakfast but also for a snack 🙂 If I have intrigued you, now all you have to do is make it too 😉

Ingredients for the pear and walnut plumcake
- 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup Plain yogurt
- 2/3 cup Sunflower oil
- 10 1/2 oz pears
- 3/4 cup Walnut halves
- 3/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- as needed Lemon juice
- as needed Powdered sugar

- 1 Knife
- 1 Mezzaluna
- 1 Spatula
- 2 Bowls
- Parchment paper
- 1 Loaf pan
Preparation of the pear and walnut plumcake
Peel the pears and cut them into thin slices, sprinkle them with lemon to prevent browning.
Coarsely chop the walnuts, add them to the pears with the cinnamon and stir.
In a bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Add the oil dissolved in the yogurt, then the pears with the chopped walnuts and stir everything.Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture in.
Preheat the oven to 350°F in static mode and bake the plumcake for about 50 – 55 minutes.
Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar to taste.
