I had been wanting to make the recipe for spicy oven-baked chicken wings for a long time, a dish that my son likes a lot and that homemade, I liked “very much” too!
The chicken wings are a second course that I think everyone agrees on: they are delicious and flavorful thanks to the amazing marinade that made the meat tender and even more succulent.
It’s a white meat-based dish cheap which is never a bad thing and appetizing, which I served with simple boiled potatoes that when mashed and mixed with the cooking juice, became exquisite too!!!
It’s hard for me to determine the number of servings because, driven by ravenous hunger, we devoured them between the two of us… I don’t know, you decide, ha ha!!!
I also recommend other dishes for a dinner to nibble in front of the TV… always assuming you can find an intelligent program, right????

INGREDIENTS FOR SPICY OVEN-BAKED CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE
- 2.2 lbs chicken wings
- to taste paprika powder (for me sweet)
- 3 tbsps liquid honey (acacia or wildflower)
- 1 sprig rosemary (finely chopped)
- leaves sage (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (chopped not too fine)
- 5 dried chili peppers (if you want a lot of spiciness, crush a couple)
- 3.5 oz water or broth (for me water)
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper

FOR THE PREPARATION OF SPICY OVEN-BAKED CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE
Wash the aromatic herbs and chop them finely.
Peel and slice the clove of garlic into chunks (to make them very visible and if not liked, “avoid them” ^_^).
Put the chicken wings in a bowl, then add the chopped aromatic herbs, the dried chili peppers, the sweet paprika, the chopped garlic, and the extra virgin olive oil.
Massage the meat well with your fingers covered in disposable gloves, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
Now wash the potatoes.
To make the best boiled potatoes, it is necessary to cook them with the peel, which clearly must be free of dirt and well cleaned.

Well, it’s impossible to say the exact cooking time as it will depend on the size of the potato itself.
To understand if the potato is cooked optimally, do not prick it with a fork, but gently pierce it with a wooden skewer and if it goes in without forcing… it’s done!
Let them cool now and then peel them carefully.
Perfect… we have cooked the potatoes and now let them cool.
Since I already had the idea to combine them with the cooking sauce of the chicken wings, I did not season them at all…
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Now take the marinated wings and place them in the chosen baking pan.
Pour in the marinade and add the honey and water or broth, mixing everything well.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper, then bake for about 40 minutes, stirring the chicken wings occasionally to prevent them from sticking or, worse, burning.
In case, add a little liquid and finish cooking the spicy oven-baked chicken wings.
Now plate the dish by also adding the boiled potatoes and a splash of ketchup if desired or barbecue sauce.
