Simple Glazed Donuts with Raspberries

SIMPLE GLAZED DONUTS WITH RASPBERRIES

Ingredients for SIMPLE GLAZED DONUTS WITH RASPBERRIES

  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 cups cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cups cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup cups vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup cups water
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water (or light rum)
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 1/3 pod vanilla (only the inner seeds)
  • as needed glaze
  • as needed raspberries
  • as needed powdered sugar (optional)

  • Bowl
  • Electric whisk
  • Baking tin for donuts

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SIMPLE GLAZED DONUTS WITH RASPBERRIES

  • In a bowl, place the eggs, sugar, and the vanilla pod seeds.

    Beat everything with the electric whisks until you obtain a foamy and fluffy mixture.

  • Pour in a thin stream the vegetable oil (I use corn) and water while continuing to beat and emulsify everything.

    Also add the orange blossom water or rum.

  • Now, to prepare the simple glazed donuts with raspberries, just add the sifted flour with the baking powder, mixing everything for a smooth and very creamy batter.

    Pour this batter into the donut molds and bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 15 minutes, or according to your oven’s characteristics.

  • P.S. Please do not fill the molds to the brim, otherwise the batter will overflow and… goodbye to the oven and the treats!!!

  • I confess that I prepare the glaze by eye, putting a good amount of powdered sugar in a cup and adding water drop by drop.
