Put the cherries in a saucepan with the powdered sugar, mixing the mixture.
Over low heat, cook the pitted cherries for about 20 minutes, adding the vanilla extract just before turning off the heat.
Now, using an immersion blender, blend the cherry mixture to obtain a smooth sauce and let it cool.
Serve this delicious cherry sauce with a dessert or maybe some Greek yogurt and enjoy your snack!
