NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE ORANGE TRUFFLES

Today I made some chocolate orange truffles, small and melt-in-your-mouth sweet finger food with a distinctly pleasant citrus aroma, perfect to serve at the end of a meal.

The combination has been known since the 17th century, when chocolate was flavored with orange peel and orange blossom water, and it is undoubtedly one of the favorites.

These exquisite mini orange truffles without baking are also a great idea for gifts, sure to be appreciated during the upcoming Christmas holidays!

Chocolate and Orange Truffles

Ingredients NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE ORANGE TRUFFLES

  • 5.5 oz Dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 2.7 tbsp Orange juice
  • 1 organic orange (zest only)
  • to taste unsweetened cocoa powder

Preparation NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE ORANGE TRUFFLES

  • Roughly chop the good quality dark chocolate and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

    Now add the orange zest, preferably organic, and mix everything together.

  • To the melted mixture, add the warm melted butter, the sifted powdered sugar, and the orange juice, mixing to achieve a smooth cream without lumps.

  • Place it in a bowl that will go into the refrigerator to firm up.

    After the indicated time, remove the chocolate orange truffles mixture from the refrigerator, and place some tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder on a plate.

  • Wear disposable gloves and, taking a little mixture at a time, roll it between your palms to make several chocolate orange truffles.

  • As you go, roll them in unsweetened cocoa to completely coat them in the bitter powder.

    Place them in individual paper cups and serve at the table.

    The chocolate orange truffles are melt-in-your-mouth, with a balanced orange aroma that pairs wonderfully with the dark chocolate!!!
