I first tasted this homemade liqueur in a Romagna trattoria and have already tried a recipe, but the result was decidedly poor, while today I offer you an liqueur with an interesting creamy taste that is not too alcoholic.

Ingredients for Creamy Banana Liqueur
- 3 bananas
- 1 1/4 cups fresh cream (whipping cream, not cooking cream)
- 1 packet saffron (Optional)
- 1 cup 95° alcohol for sweets
- 1 cup fresh milk (high quality)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar

Preparation of Creamy Banana Liqueur Recipe

To make the easy banana liqueur recipe, slice the peeled bananas and place them in a jar (I used a sterilized Bormioli jar for vegetable and fruit preserves).
Add the amount of alcohol, seal well, and leave this container in a dark place away from light sources for about 10 days.
During the resting period of the homemade banana liqueur, remember to shake the jar a few times so that the banana slices release their flavor.
After the time has passed, put the cream, milk, sugar, and saffron in a small pot.
Over moderate heat, bring to a boil and let simmer for 5/6 minutes.
Meanwhile, take the jar with the banana slices in alcohol and using a fine-mesh strainer, strain the liquid without pressing the fruit, keeping ONLY the flavored alcohol. The bananas should be discarded!!
Once the cream, milk, and saffron mix is well cooled, now add the banana-scented alcohol, mixing the easy and creamy banana liqueur well.
I personally store the bottle of banana liqueur in the freezer, always ready for a pleasant and refreshing shot… Enjoy your digestif!
