SALMON LASAGNA
The kitchen of ASI
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 25 Minutes
- Portions: 4 people
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Christmas
Ingredients for SALMON LASAGNA RECIPE
- 10.5 oz fresh lasagna sheets
- 14 oz fresh salmon fillet
- 2 shallots
- 1 and 1/4 cups fresh liquid cream (I use light cream)
- 1 oz Grana Padano cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp pink peppercorns
- 10.5 oz Swiss Chard
- to taste thyme
- to taste salt and pepper
- to taste Butter
Preparation Recipe for Salmon Lasagna
Clean the Swiss chard of tougher stems, wash them and blanch them for a few minutes in salted boiling water. Drain them well in a colander and set aside.
Sauté the chopped shallots in a pan with a pat of butter.
Add the salmon browning it initially on the skin side for 3/4 minutes.
Remove the skin then put the fillet back in the pan and “crumble” it or reduce it to chunks with a fork. Add the remaining butter and when it melts, add the chopped Swiss chard.
After a couple of minutes, pour in the light cream, some thyme leaves, and pink peppercorns (which go wonderfully together!).
Add the Grana cheese, letting it slowly melt into the filling mixture.
In a baking dish, layer the salmon lasagna with the fresh pasta sheets and this rich salmon, Swiss chard, and cream filling.
Bake at 350°F for about 20/25 minutes or until cooked according to your oven’s temperature.
It’s a very tasty dish, and if you prefer, you can use a light béchamel instead of cream to fill the salmon lasagna!
Enjoy this baked fish main course!
