CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE

Ingredients CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE RECIPE

  • 6 Eggs
  • 10.5 oz Dark Chocolate
  • 6.35 tbsp Butter
  • 7 tbsp Granulated Sugar

Preparation CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE RECIPE

  • Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a double boiler (or microwave).

    Allow to cool or at least warm.

  • Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

    Add the sugar to the yolks, simply mixing without beating the mixture.

    To the lukewarm butter and chocolate mixture, add the yolk and sugar mixture.

    Mix well, blending the obtained chocolate dessert.

  • Now add the egg whites beaten to stiff peaks with the usual bottom-to-top movements.

    Divide the chocolate mousse cake batter into two roughly equal parts.

    Pour one part into a 8-9 inch pan lined with parchment paper and put the second part in the fridge for the moment.

  • Now bake the GREAT chocolate cake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 25 minutes or depending on your oven’s characteristics.

    Allow the mousse dessert to cool on a cake rack.

  • Now whip the part kept in the fridge with the electric beaters until it becomes soft and light.

    Carefully cover the flourless CHOCOLATE cake; put it in the fridge for at least a couple of hours before serving.

    Creamy sweet but not too chocolaty, a real treat, an indulgent and easy-to-make cake!
