Marble Cake with Cocoa and Cream

The marble cake with cocoa and cream is a dessert that everyone has made at least once. In my personal recipe book, I have two versions, this one with the addition of cream (Thanks, Annamaria..) and a similar one with only flour and cocoa. Enjoy your gastronomic cuddles and remember that this cake made with cocoa and cream keeps for 3/4 days well covered with kitchen plastic wrap but … it won’t last long it’s delicious!!!!

Marbled Cake with Cocoa and Cream

Ingredients MARBLE CAKE WITH COCOA AND CREAM sweet recipe

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup fresh whipping cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • to taste flavoring of choice (vanilla or rum or lemon)
  • to taste butter and flour (for the mold)

Preparation MARBLE CAKE WITH COCOA AND CREAM sweet recipe

  • Beat for a long time the eggs and the sugar until they become creamy and very soft.

    Add the UNWHIPPED cream, and continue adding the flavoring vial of choice and the flour sifted with the instant baking powder for cakes.

  • Then divide the mixture into two parts and to one add the cocoa powder being careful to sift it to avoid forming lumps.

  • Thoroughly butter the chosen mold (I used a 10-inch diameter bundt pan) and sprinkle it with flour, then remove the excess.

  • Spoon in alternating layers the two yellow and black mixtures of the marble cake with cocoa and cream and with a utensil, randomly stir the two batters to enhance the marbling.

  • Now bake in the oven at 350°F for about 40 minutes or depending on the characteristics of your oven, but as always, do the toothpick test.

  • Powdered sugar to decorate or maybe a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy your snack and bon appétit with the marble cake with cocoa and cream!
