Today, a tasty and easy savory strudel with simple ingredients for a delicious dish, for a savory pie that can be perfect as a dinner meal!

I used the word strudel to indicate a rich and indulgent sweet preparation, to suggest that it is rolled around a creamy filling like in the most classic apple dessert!

Ingredients for TASTY AND EASY SAVORY STRUDEL

  • 1 ready puff pastry
  • 1.1 lbs Potatoes
  • 2.5 oz Edam
  • 1 mozzarella
  • 1.8 oz bacon
  • to taste chives
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 egg

Recipe Preparation for Savory Strudel

  • Peel and dice the potatoes.

    Boil in water for about 3/4 minutes.

    Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.

  • Cut the mozzarella into regular pieces and the Edam cheese into strips.

  • Unroll the ready puff pastry while keeping the parchment paper from the package.

    Spread the potato cubes mixed with the 2 cheeses onto the pastry.

  • Now add the chopped chives and season with salt and pepper.

  • Close the potato strudel and brush it with beaten egg, sprinkling with sesame and poppy seeds.

  • Bake the tasty and easy savory strudel in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 30/35 minutes or depending on your appliance’s characteristics.

  • Simple and tasty, the savory potato strudel is delicious even at room temperature… enjoy your meal!
