Ingredients for pasta with broccoli cream and bacon
- 1 broccoli
- Half garlic
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste stracciatella
- to taste ground black pepper (Or chili pepper)
- 3.5 oz smoked bacon
- 9 oz mezzi rigatoni (Or any other pasta shape)
- table salt

Steps for pasta with broccoli cream and crispy bacon
To make this delicious pasta with broccoli cream and crispy bacon, first you need to cook the broccoli. Boil one broccoli in salted boiling water for about fifteen minutes (do not discard the water as it will be used to cook the pasta later). Drain the broccoli and sauté it in a pan with some extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and black pepper or chili pepper. It will be ready when it starts to break apart. Pour the broccoli into the blender cup and blend with an immersion blender. Once the cream is made, set it aside.
In the pan where we previously sautéed the broccoli, add the diced bacon and let it sweat until it becomes crispy.
Cook the mezzi rigatoni in the water where we previously cooked the broccoli. Drain the pasta al dente and add it to the pan along with the broccoli cream and some ladles of hot cooking water, stirring for a few minutes.

STORAGE, TIPS AND NOTES
The bacon can be replaced with prosciutto or speck. The Apulian stracciatella can be replaced with stracchino or can also be omitted.
