Who knows how many times you have eaten delicious baked prawns at a restaurant, but have never tried making them at home for fear of a poor result. Well, with this recipe, the result will be excellent even at home.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 16 prawns
- lemon juice
- A few bunch parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 cup white wine
- black pepper
- salt
- extra virgin olive oil
Steps
To prepare delicious baked prawns, first of all, I recommend choosing fresh prawns instead of frozen ones. That said, start by cleaning the prawns by removing their intestine with a toothpick, while keeping the head and shell attached. To clean them, insert a toothpick into the shell and pull it upwards to remove the dark-colored filament.
Once all the prawns are cleaned, arrange them in a previously oiled baking dish. Then season with the juice of a lemon, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Also add a whole or chopped garlic clove. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F. Cook for 5 minutes, then open the oven and pour 1/4 cup of white wine over the prawns. Now close the oven and let them cook for another 10 minutes or so. If necessary, turn the prawns halfway through cooking.Once ready, season again with a bit of fresh chopped parsley and a few lemon slices. Serve the dish with a fresh green salad.
Tips
If you don’t have fresh prawns available, you can use frozen ones, but for the best result, I recommend letting them thaw completely in the fridge before using them according to the recipe.
