The turkey thigh with beer is a truly delicious and succulent recipe. A tasty second course that melts in your mouth. Perfect to serve with roasted potatoes. Very easy to prepare, you will only need a skillet with a lid and some good beer.
I want to preface that as an alternative to the thigh, you can also use the turkey drumstick for this preparation.

Ingredients
- 1 turkey thigh
- 5 oz beer
- 2 slices lemon
- 1 clove garlic
- A few leaves rosemary
- 1 drizzle extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- black pepper
Tools
- Skillet
Steps
To prepare the turkey thigh with beer, take a skillet and drizzle some olive oil. Add a cleaned garlic clove and let it brown. As soon as it turns golden, remove it and place the thigh in the skillet, browning it on both sides over high heat for about 5 minutes.
Turn the meat again with the skin side down, then season the top with a teaspoon of salt, a sprinkle of black pepper, a few rosemary sprigs, and 2 slices of lemon. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes over low heat. After 10 minutes, turn the meat and let it cook for another 10 minutes with the lid on and still over low heat.
At this point, remove the lemon slices and add the beer, preferably at room temperature.
Cover with the lid and let cook for 20 minutes over low heat. Remember to turn the piece of meat at least once during cooking.
After the time has passed, pierce the center of the thigh with a skewer or fork. Liquid will come out. If it looks almost clear like water, then the meat is cooked and the dish is ready. If red or pink liquid comes out, it means the meat needs to cook for about another ten minutes. So wait a little longer before turning off the heat and serving.
The actual cooking time varies based on the initial weight of the meat.
