  • 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (Zero cal bulkpowders)

Preparation of Energy Balls

  • Start by placing all ingredients except the water into the blender: almonds, rolled oats, almond butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, and maple syrup. Blend until you get a homogeneous and well-mixed dough.
If the mixture seems too hard or dry, gradually add the water and continue blending for a few seconds until you achieve a smooth and workable consistency.
Take small portions of the mixture with a teaspoon and form balls with your hands, to the size you prefer.
Place the balls on a plate or tray and let them rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Before serving, you may optionally sprinkle them with unsweetened cocoa powder or almond granules for an extra touch of flavor and crunch.

Tips

The energy balls keep perfectly in the fridge for a couple of days.

If you like, you can sprinkle the energy balls with unsweetened cocoa or almond granules.

You can also replace the water with rice or soy milk in equal parts.
