Ingredients
- 1 lb potatoes
- 8 oz scamorza cheese
- 5 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz cheese (grated)
- to taste salt
- 4.5 oz cheese (slices mozzarella scamorza emmental)
How to Make Potato, Ham, and Cheese Roll
Start by peeling the potatoes, then slice them very thinly using a mandolin slicer or a regular slicer.
Soak them in a bowl of water for about half an hour, then drain and pat them dry with kitchen paper towels.
Now line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then sprinkle it with grated cheese, and lay the potato slices side by side.
Arrange the potatoes to form a mat (this will be the base of the roll). Season with salt and fill with more cheese.
Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and flip onto another sheet of parchment paper.
At this point, fill with cheese slices (I used sweet scamorza) and slices of ham.
Roll it up and bake for another minute in the still-hot oven, just long enough to melt the cheese.
Finally, remove from the oven and serve sliced when still hot.
