How to prepare desserts in the air fryer? It’s very easy (read in the FAQs at the end of the article).
Even with an air fryer, you can achieve soft, moist desserts and perfectly cooked even at the bottom, quickly and with economical energy savings, compared to a traditional oven.

Please note that the temperature and cooking times are generally indicative, as it depends a lot on your type of air fryer, however, the recipes on my Blog are all previously and strictly tested by me (so more than reliable).
Anyway, I still advise you to check the cooking from time to time, to better adjust the time and temperature to your air fryer.

  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • to taste Nutella® (optional)
  • to taste butter (also coconut or release spray to grease the mold)

Tools

  • Bowls various sizes
  • Mixer Braun MultiQuick7 1000W power
  • Air fryer Cosori, large capacity (5.7l) even cooking
  • Air fryer paper perforated
  • Air fryer pan square 18/22 cm

Steps for the Light Cake in Air Fryer

Take a bowl and with an electric mixer (or hand whisk) beat the egg with sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Then add the Philadelphia, incorporate well, add the cornstarch, and finally incorporate the chocolate chips.

  • Meanwhile, preheat the fryer for 15 minutes at 392°F.

    Butter the special mold for cakes about 7-8 inches in diameter (also with coconut butter or release spray) and place a sheet of perforated parchment paper for air fryer on top (for easier removal of the cake).
    Pour the batter into the mold and finally place it in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 284°F for 20 minutes.

    Once cooked, leave the cake in the basket of the turned-off fryer for about 10 minutes.

Shopping Tips!!!

Personally, I am very satisfied with the Cosori Air Fryer, with generous 5.7-liter basket, 13 functions, and optimal hot air circulation that makes foods: crispy outside and soft inside

A healthier way of cooking, because it separates and captures excess fat (healthy and tasty dishes with up to 97% less fat). Halve the cooking times compared to a classic oven, with significant economic and time savings. Finally, the individual components are all easily removable and dishwasher-safe. Highly recommended!

To prepare this cake, I used the convenient perforated parchment paper for air fryer, non-stick easy to clean, it can also be used in a conventional oven.

I often also use these very useful baking pans of Parchment Paper for Air Fryer, disposable, without holes, they don’t dirty the fryer, but the hot air still circulates because they are very thin. Also, they are oil-resistant, water-resistant, non-stick, don’t burn, and are also oven-safe.

Square pan for air fryer, from 18/22 cm diameter, also ideal for cakes.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)

  • How to prepare desserts in the air fryer?

    It’s very easy! Let me reveal the secrets for achieving perfect desserts in an air fryer, well-cooked and soft:
    1) preheat the fryer to 392°F for 15 minutes;
    2) cook the desserts slowly at a temperature around 284°F-320°F (to cook them well inside) for about 30 minutes;
    3) Use the appropriate small containers: about 8 inches in diameter, if your basket is at least 9 inches. Otherwise, if you have a smaller basket, use a 7-inch mold, to favor air circulation.
    Of course, temperature and cooking times also depend a lot on your type of air fryer.
