Perfect at any time of the day, with yogurt in the dough and very easy to make, whole grain cookies ready in 5′ cooked in an air fryer.
For years, I’ve prepared my famous yogurt cookies in 5′ baking them in the oven, as we all do, but I had never tried making them with the air fryer.
The thing that surprised me the most is that, having used whole wheat flour, I thought I would get a crumbly but not very soft product.
And instead, I had to rethink because the cookies have a fantastic texture and are also ideal for dunking in the morning at breakfast.
Highly recommended! And then, shall we talk about the fact that they bake in 8′ instead of 10/12′ like those baked in the oven?

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (or Type 2 flour)
- cup plain yogurt
- cup whole cane sugar
- 1 egg
- cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- cup dark chocolate chips
Tools
- Air fryer paper
Steps
Pour the egg, whole cane sugar, and oil into a bowl.
Mix with a fork.
Add the oil to the mixture and stir.
Add the sifted flour and sift the baking powder directly into the dough.
Finally, pour in the chocolate chips.
Knead to obtain a dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
Break off small pieces of dough, roll them in your hands, and form balls to place in the fryer basket. (If you have perforated paper sheets, use them, otherwise don’t put anything).
Cook for 8′ at 338°F.
Tips:
If you like, you can flavor the whole grain cookies with vanilla, cinnamon, or citrus zest. Add the flavors with the flour.
My air fryer is small, and I prefer to cook 10/12 cookies at a time to avoid them sticking during cooking.
Oven Cooking:
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 356°F for 10/12′
