Ingredients
- 2 rolls puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 oz to taste tomato paste
- 7 oz g mozzarella (shredded)
- to taste dried oregano
- 1.76 oz g pesto
- 1.76 oz g stracchino
Steps
First, unroll the first puff pastry roll, then spread the tomato paste over it.
Season with oregano and shredded mozzarella.
Then fold the pastry in half over itself, then cut into strips about 1.5 inches wide.
Twist all the pastry strips into a spiral and finally give them the typical shape of a Christmas stick.
Take the second roll of puff pastry and fill it with stracchino mixed with two tablespoons of pesto.
Fold and shape as the previous ones.
Brush the surface with milk and bake in a ventilated oven at 375°F for about 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Storing Puff Pastry Sticks
You can store the sticks at room temperature covered with plastic wrap until the next day. Naturally, the puff pastry can be filled in the morning and kept in the refrigerator until cooking time.
