Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta
- 1.76 lbs broccoli
- 2 cloves garlic
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
Steps for Pasta with Broccoli
To prepare this tasty first course, first take care of cleaning the broccoli, remove the damaged leaves and the toughest part of the stem. Wash everything thoroughly under plenty of running water.
Place a pot with plenty of water on the stove and salt it. When it reaches a boil, plunge in the broccoli and cook them for 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain them and set aside.
In another pot, bring plenty of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, plunge in the pasta and cook according to its cooking time.
Meanwhile, heat 4-5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a pan, add the two garlic cloves and let them brown on low heat. Add the already cooked broccoli and let them flavor.
When the pasta is ready, drain it and add it to the pan with the broccoli and sauté for a few minutes, just long enough to flavor well.
The pasta with broccoli is ready to be plated and served hot.
Storage of Pasta with Broccoli
It is not recommended to store the pasta; it is preferable to consume it as soon as it is prepared.
If you want to make the dish more flavorful, you can add a sliced chili pepper to the pan with the oil and garlic.
