  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbs potato gnocchi (packaged)
  • as needed extra virgin olive oil
  • as needed salt
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Tools

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Oil sprayer

Steps

To prepare the crispy potato gnocchi in the air fryer, first, place the gnocchi in a bowl. Season with 3-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, or, if you prefer, use an oil sprayer to distribute the oil evenly. Add a couple of pinches of salt and finely chopped rosemary. Mix well with a spatula to combine the seasoning perfectly. If the oil seems insufficient, add a bit more to achieve an even coating.

Next, preheat the air fryer to 356°F (180°C) for 2 minutes. When ready, place the gnocchi in a single layer in the basket, avoiding too much overlap to ensure even cooking. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to achieve perfect browning on all sides.

Once the gnocchi are crispy and golden, remove them and serve hot.

Storage and Tips

It is not recommended to store the crispy potato gnocchi prepared in the air fryer, as they tend to harden over time.

You can season the gnocchi as you like, adding, for example, breadcrumbs for extra crunchiness. If desired, you can add spices such as paprika or enhance the flavor with other herbs, like sage or thyme, along with rosemary.
