Air Fryer Roasted Chicken Drumsticks

Air fryer roasted chicken drumsticks, a main course that pleases the whole family, very easy to prepare, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

The air fryer allows you to cook like in the oven but in less time.

For this main course, aromatic fried potatoes are perfect as a side dish, for the delight of your children, or if you have an air fryer larger than 4 liters, you can cook the chicken drumsticks with diced potatoes flavored with sage and rosemary.

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste sage
  • to taste rosemary
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps for Preparing and Cooking Air Fryer Roasted Chicken Drumsticks:

  • Place the chicken drumsticks in a baking dish, season with salt, and add a couple of tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, sage leaves, and rosemary, and if you like, some sweet paprika.

    Use your hands to thoroughly massage the seasoning into the chicken drumsticks. If you prefer, you can blend the sage and rosemary (or use dried spices) so the spices adhere to the drumsticks and are more flavorful.

  • Transfer the chicken drumsticks onto the air fryer rack without overlapping them (this will ensure more even cooking).

  • Cook at 375°F for 30/35 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking. Once done, cook for a few more minutes with the grill function for perfect browning.

Advice:

We used only chicken drumsticks; alternatively, you can use chicken thighs. Follow the same method but increase the cooking time by at least 10 minutes.
