Sugar-Free Strawberry Compote. Traditional and Thermomix Recipe. It differs from jam and preserves because it has a low sugar content, and also, it has a very smooth consistency because it is blended, without lumps. Ideal for spreading.
The compote can be used in the same way as jams and preserves: for breakfast on bread and toast, with cheese, to garnish cakes and desserts. If you don’t want to use apples as a preservative, I recommend using a packet of pectin 3:1 for every kilogram of strawberries.
Finally, the compote is usually richer in fruit and lower in sugar.
