  • 3.5 oz Breadcrumbs (Sicilian seasoned)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsps Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1.25 cups Flour
  • to taste salt

  • Pot
  • Colander
  • Baking Tray
  • Parchment Paper
  • 1 Oven

Preparation

  • Choose nice chard stalks.

  • Cut them in half, and then cut the ends too. You can use the green leaves in another recipe,

  • Pick and peel the stalks, then wash them in plenty of running water,

    Boil water with salt and once it boils, immerse the stalks and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Drain them, and in the meantime..

  • Now put the flour in a bowl and bread one stalk at a time,

  • Beat the eggs, make the second pass, and ….

  • Turn on the grill to 375°F and once it’s hot, place the tray and cook for 5 minutes, then turn the stalks and continue for another 5 minutes. Remove immediately once the time is up.
