Ingredients for fried sandwich triangles

  • 5 slices sandwich bread
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz scamorza cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs

Preparation of fried sandwich triangles

  • Prepare the fried sandwich triangles by removing the crust from each slice of sandwich bread.

  • Flatten each slice with a rolling pin and fill with a folded slice of cooked ham, ensuring it doesn’t reach the edges.

  • Finish with 2 slices of scamorza cheese and fold into a triangle, pressing firmly on all edges.

  • Beat the egg in a shallow dish and place the breadcrumbs in another dish. Dip each triangle first in the beaten egg and then in the breadcrumbs.

  • Gently press each triangle with your hands to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. For a crunchier coating, dip them again in the beaten egg and breadcrumbs.

  • Heat the frying oil very well and fry a few sandwich triangles at a time to avoid lowering the temperature too much.

  • Drain them on paper towels when they are golden on all sides, and serve immediately while still hot and melty.
