- 1 loaf of bread
- 1.1 lbs ground beef
- 2 oz bread crumbs (from the loaf)
- 2.1 oz Parmigiano Reggiano DOP
- 1 egg
- 2 pinches salt
- 2 pinches black pepper
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 3.5 oz bacon
Preparation of Meatloaf in Bread Crust
1-Preparing the meatloaf in crust is very simple, first cut off the 2 ends of the loaf and using a knife remove the crumbs leaving just over 1 cm all around the crust.
2-In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the egg, grated cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Add the squeezed crumbs and mix everything well.
3- With the help of a spoon, stuff the loaf of bread applying slight pressure to avoid empty spaces.
4-Place the meatloaf in a baking dish, bake in a fan oven at 356°F for about 35 minutes.
5- Let it rest for 5 minutes, cut into slices about 0.6 inches thick, serve hot with roast potatoes.
