Today I made one of the quintessential summer dishes, Linguine with Tomato and Basil. I used cherry tomatoes from my garden, but grape tomatoes are also great. The whole dish is enhanced with lots of fresh basil. Really tasty, the sweet and juicy tomatoes create a perfect balance of flavors. Try them because they are truly delicious. I used linguine, but spaghetti is also perfect, and even short pasta pairs wonderfully with this classic sauce that never goes out of style. Finished with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, this dish celebrates Italian cuisine in all its simplicity.
