The Puff Pastry Flower with Walnuts and Chocolate is a dessert that is very easy to prepare, quick, visually appealing, and super tasty. A perfect dessert for the whole family that will win you over at the first bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 rolls round puff pastry
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • 2.8 oz walnut halves
  • as needed vegetable oil (or milk for brushing)
  • as needed powdered sugar

Tools

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Sieve
  • 1 Oven

Steps

  • Chop the chocolate and walnuts.

    Preheat the oven to 356°F.

    Unroll the puff pastry and lay it on a work surface with parchment paper underneath.

  • Spread the walnuts and chocolate on the puff pastry.

  • Cover with the other puff pastry.

    Press slightly to compact the pastry to the filling.

  • Place a teacup in the center.

    With a sharp knife, cut the puff pastry into 4 sections, stopping at the cup, as shown in the photo.

  • Then cut each section into 4 more sections.

  • Twist each cut piece on itself making 3 turns.

  • Transfer the puff pastry flower to the oven tray.

  • Brush with vegetable oil or milk and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes, until golden.

    Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar.
