Apple Cake with Chocolate Chips.

The apple cake with chocolate chips is a super soft dessert like a cloud, wholesome and so delicious, it mixes in 5 minutes and with the baking time in the oven, you will have a fragrant cake perfect for the whole family. Try it, it will conquer you at the first bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 7.75 oz sugar (4.25 oz for a less sweet version)
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 oz potato starch
  • 4.5 oz butter at room temperature (or 0.5 cup corn oil)
  • 0.4 cup milk (at room temperature)
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5.25 oz chocolate chips
  • 3 apples
  • as needed powdered sugar

Tools

  • 1 Electric whisk
  • 1 Bundt pan

Steps

  • Place the chocolate chips in the freezer.

    Grease and flour a 9.5-inch bundt pan.


    Preheat the oven to 340°F.


    Sift the flour with the potato starch and baking powder.


    Place the eggs, sugar, and butter (or oil) in a large bowl and beat with electric whisks until creamy (you can also use a stand mixer).


    Add the pinch of salt, grated lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla, and milk, mix with the electric whisks.

    Combine the flour mixture and mix with the whisks until smooth and homogeneous, remove the whisks and add the chocolate chips, stirring with a spatula.

    Remove the core from the apples and cut them into slices about 0.25 inches thick.


    Pour the batter into the pan, place the apple slices on the surface, letting them sink halfway into the batter.


    Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 45 minutes, check the center with a skewer, it should come out dry.

    Once the apple cake with chocolate chips is baked, remove it from the oven, let it cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  • Place the chocolate chips in the freezer.

    Turn off the Bimby and add the chocolate chips, stirring with a spatula until well combined.

  • Remove the core from the apples and cut them into slices about 0.25 inches thick.


    Pour the batter into the pan, place the apple slices on the surface, letting them sink halfway into the batter.


    Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 45 minutes, check the center with a skewer, it should come out dry.

    Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven, let it cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
