Crumbly Apple Cake.
Simple, fragrant, delicious.
The Crumbly Apple Cake is a very special and delicious dessert, imagine the crumbliness of a pastry that melts in your mouth, slightly softer and lots of apples like an apple ring cake, and here you have this fragrant and delicious cake that will conquer you at the first taste.
This cake is a novelty you shouldn’t miss, it’s very good 🙂

Ingredients
- 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.56 cups potato starch
- 1 cup butter (softened (remove from fridge at least an hour before))
- 1 cup powdered sugar (0.7 cups for a less sweet version)
- grated zest of one organic orange
- grated zest of one untreated lemon
- 3 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 apples (3 if small)
Tools
- 1 Electric whisk
- 1 Bundt cake pan
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Oven
Steps
Mix together the sugar with the sifted flour, starch and sifted baking powder.
Place the mixture in a bowl, add the butter in pieces and start kneading with an electric whisk (spiral hook) until you get a crumbly mixture (you can also use the planetary mixer K hook).
Add the eggs, grated orange and lemon zest, vanilla, and a pinch of salt, continue kneading with the electric whisk, until you get a smooth and sticky dough.
Butter a 9-inch bundt cake pan.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into thin slices.
Pour the mixture into the buttered pan, place the apple slices on the surface of the cake, pushing them halfway into the batter.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 35 minutes, checking with a toothpick, it should come out dry and the cake should be nicely golden.
Once the crumbly apple cake is cooked, remove it from the oven, let it cool, and then dust it with powdered sugar.
