Quick Fried Mini Pizzas.

Super simple, tasty, very flavorful.

Quick fried mini pizzas without leavening are very tasty, easy to prepare, and very delicious, great eaten hot, either savory or sweet, but also warm they are very good.

For the savory version, you can also serve them instead of bread or to accompany cold cuts or cheese.

Ingredients

  • 12.35 oz all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations
  • 1 tsp salt
  • to taste peanut oil (for frying)
  • to taste sugar or salt (for finishing)

Tools

  • 1 Stand Mixer
  • 1 Pastry Board
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Cookie Cutter
  • 1 Frying Pan

Steps

  • Place the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, olive oil, and water in the stand mixer or a bowl and knead for a few minutes until a smooth and uniform dough forms.

    Cover with a cloth and let rest for 10 minutes.

    After the time has passed, divide the dough into 2 parts and on a slightly floured pastry board roll out one piece at a time into a rectangle about slightly more than 1/2 cm thick.

    Use a cookie cutter (or a glass) to cut into several disks, pierce them with a fork and place them on a slightly floured cloth.

    As soon as you have finished preparing all the disks, we can heat the oil.

  • Put plenty of oil in a pan and heat well (338°F).

    Fry the disks a few at a time, browning them on both sides and quickly dry on paper towels.

    If you want the sweet version, immediately roll them in granulated sugar on both sides.

    If you want the savory one, sprinkle with salt and add a pinch of pepper.

    Serve immediately.
