Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast slices (about 1.3 lbs)
  • 4 slices cooked ham (about 3.5 oz)
  • 4 slices fontal cheese (about 3.5 oz)
  • 4 leaves sage
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste flour
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Tools

  • 1 Meat Tenderizer
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Pan

Steps

  • Lightly pound the slices of chicken breast with a meat tenderizer.

Put some flour on a plate and flour the chicken breast slices on both sides.

Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan, as soon as the oil is hot add the chicken breast and let it brown over low heat on both sides, adjust the salt, add a grind of pepper.

As soon as the chicken breast is browned, cover each slice with a slice of ham and on top of the ham a slice of fontal cheese and a sage leaf (I didn’t have any, so I used parsley).

If the cooking base is too dry, add 3 tablespoons of hot water (or broth), cover with a lid and finish cooking for a few more minutes always over very low heat to melt the cheese.

    Serve immediately.
