Let’s start preparing the rustic almond and hazelnut cookies: chop the almonds and hazelnuts rather coarsely.
Pour the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, melted butter, and grated lemon zest into a bowl.
Mix everything with a hand whisk, finally add the coarsely chopped almonds and hazelnuts and combine everything with a spoon.
Once you have a homogeneous dough, wet your hands with water and form the cookies by making balls of dough and then flattening them. As they are ready, place the cookies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 12-15 minutes.
