Ingredients for 2 people
- 14 oz cantaloupe
- 0.85 cup water
- 0.5 cup sugar
Tools
- 1 Blender
- 1 Ice Cream Maker
Procedure
Here are the steps to make a delicious cantaloupe sorbet at home with only 3 simple ingredients
First, take a ripe cantaloupe, any type will do. The best one, in my opinion, is the classic cantaloupe.
Remove the seeds from the cantaloupe and cut it into slices.
Remove the rind from the slices and blend the flesh with a handheld blender/mixer until you get a thick mixture.
Place a small pot over the heat with water and sugar and simmer gently until the sugar is completely dissolved.
This way, we’ll obtain a syrup that will serve as the base for our cantaloupe sorbet.
Pour the syrup over the cantaloupe pulp and mix gently. The final result will be our base for the cantaloupe sorbet.
Put it in the ice cream maker for 20-30 minutes using the appropriate program. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, put the liquid in a large bowl in the fridge and stir every 15 minutes to incorporate air for 2 hours.
Finally, your cantaloupe sorbet is ready!
