Ingredients for 4 people
- 1.1 lbs prawns
- 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Tools
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Baking tray
- 1 Parchment paper
Procedure
In very little time and with minimal preparations, you’ll have a delicious appetizer or main dish perfect to bring to the table. Here is the recipe with all the tips and steps to follow.
For this recipe, take cold prawns but not frozen. If you bought them frozen, thaw them in the refrigerator.
When the prawns are cold, remove the outer shell and the inner vein. If you have doubts, follow my instructions on how to clean prawns perfectly.
You can prepare the breadcrumbs for breading at home using stale bread.
Put the breadcrumbs in a large bowl, do not add salt but just a grind of pepper. Toss the cleaned prawns in it so that the breading adheres well to the shellfish meat.
Remove the excess bread and place well spread out on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a hot oven, static mode at 356°F for 15 minutes.
If necessary, turn over halfway through cooking for even cooking.
After 15 minutes, the baked breaded prawns will be cooked. Remove from the oven and salt to taste
Your baked breaded prawns are ready!
Plating Tips:
Serve your baked breaded prawns with a dipping sauce such as a cocktail sauce, homemade mayonnaise, or aioli sauce.
Wine Pairing for Breaded Prawns:
I recommend a dry white wine with a savory note that balances the rich and meaty flavor of the prawns. For example, a Sardinian Vermentino or a Gavi.
