Steps
Making pasta with zucchini blossoms is very easy, there are many variations, and in this recipe, we will use fresh seasonal products, here’s how to prepare it.
First of all, I recommend cleaning the zucchini blossoms under running water and removing the internal pistils so that only the outer part remains.
Once the zucchini blossoms are cleaned, cut them into thin strips lengthwise so they are 0.39-0.79 inches thick.
Put the pan on medium heat, add a drizzle of oil, and sauté the cherry tomatoes cut in half.
Cook for about 5 minutes, when they start to soften and release their juice, add the diced zucchinis.
Put a pot with salted water on the heat and cook the pasta for the time indicated
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and sauté it in the pan with the cherry tomatoes and zucchinis. Mix and add the zucchini blossoms strips.
When the pasta has absorbed the tomato sauce (it will take about 2 minutes) it’s ready, just remove it from the heat, add the grated cheese, and serve.
Your pasta with zucchini blossoms is ready!
Plating Tips:
This is a very simple dish, I recommend creating nests of pasta and arranging the zucchini blossoms and tomatoes to complete the dish. For a summer touch, you can add a few fresh mint leaves.
Wine Pairing for Pasta with Zucchini Blossoms:
I recommend pairing this fresh and summery pasta with an aromatic white wine, for example, you can serve a Pinot Grigio or a Sardinian Vermentino.
