Ingredients for 2 people
- 8.8 oz bacon
- 1 slice bread
Tools
- 1 Pan 9.5 inches
Procedure
There are several ways to achieve crispy bacon. In this recipe, we will see how to easily prepare it in a pan without adding any fats.
Place a pan on the stove over high heat and let it heat up for a couple of minutes. There’s no need to add oil or fats for cooking the bacon; it should cook in its own fat that will be released during cooking.
Don’t use too high a flame or you’ll burn the fat and the bacon. After a few minutes, the bacon will start to release its fat in the pan and turn golden brown. Cook on the first side, and when ready, flip to the other side and cook for another 5 minutes.
When the bacon is cooked, remove it from the pan and keep it warm. If you need to use it with burgers, move it to the side of the pan while you cook the meat.
If you serve the bacon with scrambled eggs, you can keep it warm inside a piece of aluminum foil while you prepare the eggs.
Your crispy bacon is ready!
Serving Suggestions:
You can serve the bacon with scrambled eggs or savory pancakes. It’s also perfect inside a delicious pan-cooked burger.
Crispy Bacon Wine Pairing
I suggest pairing the bacon based on the final recipe, but in general, a red wine or a good craft beer is a great choice.
