Ingredients
- 1 bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- as needed salt
- 1 bunch parsley
Tools
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Pan 8-inch
Procedure
Fried bell peppers are also called pippi fritti, a delicious side dish that can be used to dress a pasta or a bruschetta.
First you need to clean and slice the bell peppers into strips, so they cook faster in the pan.
Put the pan on the stove over high heat and start heating the oil, when it’s hot add the pepper strips and fry for 5 minutes covered.
After a few minutes, you’ll hear the peppers sizzling. Stir them gently and finish cooking in the pan according to your personal taste
Now that the peppers are cooked, just add some fresh chopped parsley and serve hot or cold as you like.
Your fried bell peppers are ready!
Plating advice:
I recommend placing the peppers in a bowl or directly on the plate with the main dish
Wine pairing for fried bell peppers:
Peppers pair well with fresh white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, or Cabernet.
