Procedure

Here’s the creamy recipe to follow step by step to make delicious truffle gnocchi easily and quickly

  • To prepare truffle gnocchi, you can use either ready-made gnocchi or homemade potato gnocchi.

I recommend trying homemade gnocchi at least once; they are so good!

  • Bring plenty of salted water to a boil.

While the water is heating up, prepare the Taleggio cream, which should be ready before the gnocchi to avoid overcooking.

  • Now let’s focus on preparing the sauce that will accompany our truffle gnocchi.

In a pan, heat half of the milk without bringing it to a boil; when it’s warm, add the Taleggio. Blend until you get a creamy sauce; if necessary, add the remaining milk.

  • Cook the fresh gnocchi in boiling water, drain them as soon as they float to the surface, and toss them in a pan with the Taleggio cream.

It only takes a few seconds in the pan to flavor the gnocchi. Serve them on a plate and slice the truffle thinly on top, which will release its aroma and flavor with the warmth of the cream.

Your creamy truffle gnocchi are ready!

Plating Tips for Truffle Gnocchi:

To enhance the dish, work on the contrast between the white of the cream and the black of the truffle. Plate the gnocchi with the Taleggio cream to make the dish creamy and use the truffle for decoration.

Wine Pairing with Truffle Gnocchi:

Truffle is not easy to pair with wine due to its taste, flavor, and aroma. Black truffle requires a smooth, fragrant, and elegant wine. For example, a wine like Muller Thurgau, with its velvety taste, pairs well with this dish.
