Quick Neapolitan rolls, actually super quick! This little recipe has saved my dinner more than once, you know those days when you never stop and at some point you realize you don’t have dinner, well on those days you have to be grateful for that roll of pizza dough you always have in the fridge along with some cold cuts and cheese! Let’s make our dinner-saving Neapolitan rolls together!

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • rolls Ready-made pizza dough
  • 10.5 oz Assorted cold cuts and cheeses (salami, cicoli, ham, provolone)
  • 3 tbsps Parmesan
  • to taste black pepper (optional)

Tools

  • 1 Baking tray

Steps

Making Neapolitan rolls with this recipe is very simple. Open the roll of pizza dough and cover it with the sliced cold cuts and cheeses, making sure to leave the edges free.

  • Now roll the pizza dough rectangle from the longer side, sealing the edges well and using a knife to cut the rolls (see video) about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches wide. Bake the Neapolitan rolls for about 20 minutes at 356°F in a fan oven. If you want to make your rolls shiny, brush the surface with egg yolk. Take them out of the oven and enjoy.

If you like, in addition to the cold cuts, you can add some crumbled hard-boiled egg to the filling.
