I always thought that gnocchi could only be made with potatoes, but one day seeing my mom prepare them, I thought I could make them too for my family.
These water gnocchi Monsieur Cousine are gnocchi made only with water and flour, very simple but especially quick to prepare! One of those recipes you can make when you don’t have much time available 🙂
This time, I wanted to prepare them with the kitchen robot I have at home, the Monsieur Cousine Connect. For the dough, I used the robot and then rolled out the dough on the work surface and created nice little rolls to shape the gnocchi. For the seasoning, you can decide what you like best! In this case, I seasoned them with tomato and oregano, simple but delicious!

Preparation of water gnocchi
First, to prepare the water gnocchi, place the water and salt in the bowl, set to 4 minutes, 212°F at speed 1.
Then, add the sifted flour for 20 seconds at speed 4 and finally transfer the dough to a well-floured work surface and continue working the dough by hand.
Shape the gnocchi by making little rolls and let them rest for about 20 minutes. Cook them in salted water and then season with tomato and oregano or as you prefer. I must say the gnocchi turned out nice and firm, not too soft.
