Ingredients for venere rice with tuna and tomatoes

  • 1 1/4 cups venere rice
  • 8.8 oz tuna in oil
  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 1/3 cup green olives
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 2 pinches pepper
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil

Preparation of venere rice with tuna and tomatoes

  • Prepare the venere rice with tuna starting with the venere rice, then rinse it under cold running water several times.

  • Cook it for the time indicated on the package, being careful to use low heat so the rice boils gently; otherwise, it becomes mushy outside and stays hard inside.

  • Once cooked, drain it and cool it under cold running water.

  • Place the venere rice in a salad bowl and season with salt and oil.

    Drain the tuna and add it to the rice without mashing it.

  • Cut the cherry tomatoes into halves or quarters, drain the corn, and slice the olives.

  • Mix everything into the rice gently, season with freshly ground black pepper, and a few basil leaves.
