Mascarpone and Chocolate Cream by the Spoon

The mascarpone and chocolate cream by the spoon is a fabulous dessert, incredibly creamy and flavorful, perfect for ending a summer evening on a sweet note.
A super quick dessert with no cooking required that you can prepare well in advance and keep in the fridge, or make just a few minutes before dinner and have it ready for dessert.

When friends arrived unexpectedly, and no one brought dessert.

I used dark chocolate but after the recipe, I’ll leave you with some exciting variations of this dessert so each time you can bring to the table a different dessert starting more or less with the same ingredients.

Ingredients for the mascarpone and chocolate cream

  • 14 oz mascarpone
  • 3/4 cup fresh liquid cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 1/4 oz dark chocolate

  • 1 Electric Whisk

Preparation of mascarpone cream

  • To prepare the mascarpone cream, first whip the cold cream from the fridge with the granulated sugar and set aside in the refrigerator.

  • Mix the mascarpone with the powdered sugar using an electric whisk, barely mixing it, and set aside temporarily.

  • Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave and let it rest for a few minutes, then mix it with half of the whipped cream using the electric whisk.

  • Mix the remaining whipped cream with the mascarpone.

Cream Variations

You can prepare the mascarpone and chocolate cream with milk chocolate, reducing the amount of sugar for whipping the cream since milk chocolate is sweeter than dark chocolate.

Mascarpone and Coconut Cream

You can prepare the mascarpone and chocolate cream by replacing the sugar in the mascarpone with shredded coconut and simply mixing it with a rubber spatula instead of whipping it.
