Ingredients for coffin sandwiches for Halloween

  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 5.3 oz ricotta
  • 3.5 oz Genovese pesto
  • 8 slices cooked ham
  • 10 black olives

Preparation

  • Preparing the coffin sandwiches for Halloween is really simple and quick.

    First, draw on paper the coffin to use for cutting the sandwiches all the same.

  • Take two slices of sandwich bread and place them one on top of the other, then cut out the coffins using the paper template.

  • Now prepare a cream by mixing the ricotta with the Genovese pesto or another pesto of your choice.

    Spread half of the coffins with the pesto.

  • Place half a slice of cooked ham folded on top of the pesto so it doesn’t stick out too much from the sandwich edges

  • Close each coffin with the half of the sandwich bread slices set aside and proceed to cut out the cross to place on top.

  • Then slice each olive into thin slices and place one slice vertically, then another slice cut in half to form the cross.
