Diuretic, Draining, and Antioxidant Smoothie
The drink I prepared today is not only loaded with vitamins, but also has diuretic, draining, and antioxidant properties, suitable for everyone, especially women with cellulite issues.
Celery contains potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium, vitamin C, vitamin K, and some B vitamins and vitamin E in smaller quantities; it is composed of about 90% water, which makes it diuretic and purifying.
It contains lutein, an antioxidant protective of the brain
Oranges, contain calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, selenium, and various vitamins including, in addition to the already mentioned C, A, B1, and B2. Red oranges are an excellent source of citric acid, which lowers the pH level in the body, improving digestion, reducing blood sugar, and keeping the metabolism active.
Fennel is an aromatic plant that has diuretic effects and improves liver function; it is a tonic, stimulant for digestive functions
It has a very low-caloric content, is low in fat, and rich in fibers. It contains many minerals essential for bone health and prevents cramps and fatigue.
It contains many vitamins, particularly vitamin A, B, and C, with antioxidant power and maintains the integrity of the nervous system.
The phytoestrogen content makes it useful for milk production in women, reduces menstrual cycle disorders, and alleviates menopause symptoms.

Green Antioxidant Detox Smoothie
Carrot, Apple, and Orange Smoothie

- Portions: 2
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
Let’s go shopping
- 7 oz fennel
- 7 oz oranges
- 5.3 oz white celery
- 3.5 oz ice (optional)
Diuretic, Draining, and Antioxidant Smoothie
Tools
- Centrifuge or blender or Thermomix
Preparation: Diuretic, Draining, and Antioxidant Smoothie
Peel the oranges, remove the green parts from the celery and fennel, and then:
If you have a centrifuge, you can juice everything, for those with a Thermomix or blender, you can put everything in the jug, in small pieces, and blend at max speed 10 for 1 minute.
As you like and depending on the season, you can add ice cubes to the blender or Thermomix and crush everything together,
Then you need to decide whether to consume this drink dense or by passing it through a sieve. I prefer to consume it dense, so I get a load of fibers, which otherwise would be lost using a centrifuge.
Here’s the Diuretic, Draining, and Antioxidant Smoothie ready: try tasting it every day for a month as a lunch appetizer, and you’ll notice decreased hunger and improved water retention.
