- 2/3 cup sugar
- 0.4 oz fresh brewer's yeast
- 2 eggs (large)
- 1 cup milk

Preparation of Krapfen Recipe
Preparing the krapfen recipe is really easy and quick; if you have a mixer, I strongly recommend using it as it will make the process much faster.
If you don’t have a mixer, get a large bowl that can hold all the ingredients.Place all the ingredients in your mixer’s bowl or a large bowl except for the eggs and start kneading, with the whisk in the case of the mixer or by hand using a wooden spoon.
When all the ingredients are combined, add one egg and mix it well into the dough before adding the remaining egg.
Knead very well with the mixer for 5 minutes or by hand, turning the dough onto the work surface and working it thoroughly (15 minutes).
Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise until it doubles in size, which will take at least 2 hours.
Once risen, take the dough and roll out a sheet 1/2 inch thick, cut out 3-inch discs using a pastry cutter or a glass, cover them, and let them rise for another 2 hours.Fry the krapfen in hot deep oil at 350°F for a few minutes on each side until they are well browned, then turn them and finish frying.
