Ideal for a Sunday family lunch or to recycle leftover tortellini, these baked tortellini are a promise of guaranteed success!
Delicious and you can prepare it in advance, I make the tortellini at home, but if you want, you can buy them, but I assure you that if you make them yourself it will be a different story, you’ll lick your lips!!

Ingredients for baked tortellini
- 17.6 oz tortellini (fresh)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1.4 oz butter
- 4.2 oz latteria cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1.1 oz Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (grated)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 0.4 cup fresh cream
Preparation of baked tortellini
To prepare baked tortellini, if you want to make them from scratch, follow my recipe HERE. If you buy them, place a pot of lightly salted water on the stove and bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, heat the butter with the extra virgin olive oil in a large pan that can hold the tortellini once cooked.
When the butter is melted, add the cream, lightly salt, and incorporate the grated cheese, stirring to mix. Once the grated cheese is melted, turn off the heat while waiting to cook the tortellini.Preheat the oven to 392°F, cut the latteria cheese or mozzarella into small pieces and set aside.
Cook the tortellini for 2 or 3 minutes, no more. Drain them into the pan with the sauce, where you will have re-lit the heat to medium, toss the pan to flavor the tortellini and add a few tablespoons of the tortellini cooking water, then turn off the heat.Quickly mix the small cut cheese into the tortellini with the sauce, then pour everything into a baking dish, sprinkle a few tablespoons of butter and grated cheese on top.
Grill the tortellini in the oven for 15 minutes until you see a slightly golden crust form on the surface, remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve the baked tortellini piping hot and stringy and..

Advice
You can also prepare the baked tortellini the day before, leaving them in the baking dish ready to be baked right before eating, cover them with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.
